House Shoestring letterman jacket

House Shoestring

“Thin cut. No fillers.”

The story

Founded in the back booth of the Starlite Diner in 1952 by a projectionist who’d seen every reel twice and forgiven none of them. Shoestrings are cut thin and fried hard, and they keep their opinions the same way. They trust a slow burn, a sharp script, and the films nobody talked them into. They’ve been known to walk out on a sequel. Few earn their Large Crispy, and those who do, earn it forever.

Tasting notes

  • Knows what they like.
  • Unimpressed by fireworks.
  • Takes the long way to a yes.
  • Keeps a list. It’s short.
  • Trusts a long silence.
  • Reads the credits for names, not songs.
  • Quiet in the theater, loud in the parking lot.
  • Has walked out, and would again.
